“AI in Healthcare — Beyond the Scribes” brings technology and healthcare leaders together to examine how artificial intelligence is moving beyond documentation to reshape patient experiences, technology platforms and the future of care
BOCA RATON, Fla. — September 17, 2026 — As artificial intelligence rapidly moves deeper into healthcare, its potential is expanding well beyond one of its most visible applications: clinical documentation and AI-powered scribes.
South Florida Tech Hub will bring healthcare and technology leaders together at the Boca Raton headquarters of locally founded healthcare technology company ModMed for “AI in Healthcare — Beyond the Scribes: An Executive Briefing,” an evening focused on where AI in healthcare is headed next.
The event will take place Thursday, September 17, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at ModMed HQ, 4700 Exchange Court in Boca Raton.
Rather than focusing solely on the technology generating headlines today, the briefing will explore the broader opportunities and challenges emerging as AI becomes increasingly integrated into healthcare technology, digital experiences and patient care.
Featured speakers Vasu Thiyagarajan, Senior Vice President of Architecture, AI, & Platform at ModMed, and Michael Levine, Product Manager at ModMed, will share perspectives on the real-world considerations surrounding the development and application of AI in healthcare.
They will be joined by Trenton Cycholl, Vice President of IT and Digital Experiences, for a broader discussion about how intelligent technologies are being developed, implemented and ultimately experienced across the healthcare ecosystem.
Topics will include the evolution of AI beyond clinical documentation, opportunities for improving healthcare experiences, the role of AI within technology platforms, implementation considerations and what healthcare and technology leaders should be thinking about as the next generation of AI applications emerges.
