Boca Raton, FL – TEDxBocaRaton will return to the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) with its 2026 event, Future in Motion, bringing together a dynamic lineup of speakers, performers, and thought leaders exploring how leadership, technology, and human potential are evolving in real time.
More than a theme, Future in Motion reflects a broader shift, not just for TEDxBocaRaton, but for the world itself.
Leadership and life are not static. They are adapting, accelerating, and being reshaped by innovation, emerging technologies, and new ways of thinking. This year’s talks will explore everything from AI and systems thinking to leadership, sustainability, and bold personal and professional pivots, offering audiences practical insight on navigating uncertainty and shaping what comes next.
“The conversations we’re curating this year explore movement, how we think, how we lead, and how we evolve,” said organizers Erik Mintz and Cindy Metzler. “This isn’t just about what comes next. It’s about how we prepare for it and how we actively shape it.”
Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), Boca Raton, FL 33432

A Legacy More Than a Decade in the Making
The 2026 event marks Erik and Cindy’s ninth independently organized TEDxBocaRaton event, including both main stage and Salon experiences, and continues a broader legacy of more than a decade of TEDx programming in the Boca Raton community.
The stage has welcomed a wide range of voices over the years, from thought leaders affiliated with organizations such as Facebook, Google, MIT, IBM, National Geographic, Disney, to veterans, entrepreneurs, and innovators across industries. TEDxBocaRaton has consistently elevated local voices, giving members of the South Florida community a platform to share ideas that have gone on to reach global audiences.
What has emerged over time is something intentional, a platform built not just on ideas, but on curation, credibility, and community.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
About TED
TED is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to discovering, debating and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding and drive meaningful change. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.
TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, but today it spans a multitude of worldwide communities and initiatives exploring everything from science and business to education, arts and global issues. In addition to the TED Talks curated from our annual conferences and published on TED.com, we produce original podcasts, short video series, animated educational lessons (TED-Ed) and TV programs that are translated into more than 100 languages and distributed via partnerships around the world. Each year, thousands of independently run TEDx eventsbring people together to share ideas and bridge divides in communities on every continent. Through The Audacious Project, TED has helped catalyze $6.6 billion in funding for projects that support bold solutions to the world’s most urgent challenges — working to make the world more beautiful, sustainable and just. In 2020, TED launched Countdown, an initiative to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis and mobilize a movement for a net-zero future, and in 2023 TED launched TED Democracy to spark a new kind of conversation focused on realistic pathways towards a more vibrant and equitable future.
