Plantation, Fla. — White Oak Development has secured a $66.61 million construction loan and broken ground on The Retreat at Plantation Walk, a 297-unit luxury multifamily community in Plantation, Florida.
The eight-story, market-rate development will rise on 5.7 acres at 221 N. University Drive, marking the final residential parcel within the 27-acre Plantation Walk mixed-use project. The loan was provided by PNC Bank to WO-Plantation MF LLC, an affiliate of White Oak Development.
Construction will be commencing April 2026 with completion projected for early 2028.
Designed with a focus on wellness, sustainability, and modern living, The Retreat will feature 297 residences, including 16 live/work units that allow residents to integrate small businesses into their homes.
Planned amenities include an indoor/outdoor fitness center, yoga and Pilates studio, saunas, cold plunging, resort-style pool deck, pickleball courts, golf simulator, theater room, coworking lounge, and podcast studio.
The property is fully integrated into Plantation Walk, offering walkable access to retail, dining, office, and hospitality components. Residents will also benefit from proximity to major roadways including I-595, Florida’s Turnpike, and the Sawgrass Expressway, providing convenient access to Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
